Business Intelligence is based on a data set. FUSION can collect and consolidate the data set in an automated way without any coding!
In a traditional BI setup building the data set is a matter of constructing a number of queries with hard coded references to SharePoint Lists in the BI program.
However when referencing more than just a few Lists or when the number of Lists frequently changes, it becomes a very time consuming and error prone task.
Fusion can output the consolidated data set from multiple SharePoint Lists to Power BI, Yellowfin BI, Excel, SQL for reporting and analysis.
To construct the data set, multiple Sites with identical or semi identical structured Lists can be dynamically accessed. The Individual List URL can be retrieved from any data source including CSV, Excel, SQL, SharePoint List, SharePoint Site Collection.
This technique is particularly useful when analyzing data from SharePoint implementations like WorkPoint365. Here individual Sites represents entities like Customer, Product, Project etc. It is very common to have thousands of sites. Having thousands of sites makes it virtually impossible to use any BI platform for analysis and reporting without FUSION.
The data collection job can run incrementally and as a scheduled task on the built-in Fusion Job Server
